If you’re on the journey to the mountains of the moon, Summit is a perfect location suitable and affordable for hikers to camp, or have accommodation before or after their trek to the mountains. The guesthouse features a coffee shop, bar and garden/camp ground.
Summit Guesthouse is located 26 km from Kasese town. Branch the Kasese – Fortportal road at Nkenda power terminal and drive west for 16.5Km towards Rwenzori Mountains National park gate. The guesthouse is somewhat located in a rural set up, offering a quiet environment to relax, as you enjoy a cool breeze from River Mubuku. The rocky hills offer pleasant views as you relax in the bar or gardens.
Our amenities
The main guest house has clean self-contained rooms with hot showers. It has a porch, a relaxation area overlooking the Buraro hill that offers good views of the hill. Surrounding the main guesthouse is a beautiful garden that doubles as a camping ground for especially backpackers and holiday makers.
The lounge is another relaxing point to enjoy a drink, soft music, with clear views of River Mubuku, hills. Coffee (mainly espresso) is served here. Souvenirs/crafts are also available for sale.

Forest walk looking for chameleons, community hill trek, overnight trekking in the mountains, cultural village walk, traditional cooking tour, Bakonzo traditional dance events or participating in the Rwenzori trekking to the high mountains.
