Katunguru community has opened up a boat cruise on Kazinga channel. The boat is being offered and sold by almost all lodges in Queen Elizabeth conservation area. It is organized with experienced local guides who take you on the waters of Kazinga channel through the park while they explain the background information of every landscape and wildlife in Uganda.

This boat is more affordable and flexible than any other boat safari adventure in Uganda. You can choose to stay longer on the waters, get closer to the shore line or choose to take a cruise alone at a very low price any time. You will pay only 30$ and nothing more, if you have done the game drive or any other activity inside the park on the same day. if you haven’t, then you will pay the park entrance fee relevant to your citizenship category.
There are any things to do in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The price of this trip makes it standout. It gives you an opportunity to go for two hours on water of Kazinga channel running through the park, with wild animals on both sides of the boat. The organizing community doesn’t have any schedule and operate openly basing on the availability of visitors, meaning you do it when you want, between 7:00am and 7:00pm, every day.
The minimum number of people required for the trip to go
At the price of 30$ per person, a minimum of two guests is required to do the boat cruise. In this case, if you paid the fare for two people then the trip will start, yet it will still be affordable than doing the boat cruise in the park.
Booking in advance is recommended and it is advisable to arrive at the Kazinga channel dock, 30 minutes before the agreed time of starting the trip. The boat excursion starts at the famous Katunguru bridge over the Kasese Mbarara highway, running through queen Elizabeth National Park
Can you see other wildlife other than that during the cruise?
This community boat cruise is a great opportunity to see wildlife at close range as they cool off by the side of the channel. The wildlife you may see while on this cruise include; elephants, Hippopotamus, Buffalo, Crocodiles, multitudes of birds, and sometimes the small mammals. Hippos will be a common site since they dominate the Kazinga channel waters.
