How to get to Ruboni camp
To reach Ruboni Community Camp from Kasese or Fort portal town, follow these simple steps:
If you’re arriving from outside the region, your journey will likely begin in the town of Kasese, located in western Uganda. Kasese is accessible by various modes of transportation, including buses, minibusses (matatus), private taxis, and by air landing at Kasese airstrip.
From Kasese town center, head north on Fort Portal Road for 10km. You will then branch off left at Nkenda Electric Terminal, toward the Rwenzori Mountains National Park, and drive for another 17km on a murram road. The full journey typically takes around 40 minutes by car, depending on traffic and road conditions.
Those traveling from Fort Portal will not have to go all the way to Kasese town. You will drive 65km south towards Kasese and branch right at Nkenda Electric Terminal and follow the same directions. Nkenda is located after crossing River Mubuku, next to Mubuku Trading Center.
