  • Day 1 – Arrival in Entebbe

    You will be picked by our driver guide and transferred to Kampala, for dinner and Overnight Forest cottages
  • Day 2 Kampala

    After breakfast, we will participate in a full day boda-boda tour.  Highlights of the city tour include the religious, social, and cultural background of Uganda. The tour will go to; Namirembe Cathedral, Owino and Nakasero markets, Lubiri Palace, Rugaga Cathedral, Gadaffi Mosque, Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, Bahai Temple, Amin’s torture chamber, Buganda’s kingdom parliament. Midway, lunch will be at one of Kampala’s restaurants of choice and we continue with the tour until we retire to dinner and overnight. Forest cottages
  • Day 3 – Kampala to Jinja

    After breakfast, transfer to Jinja to visit the source of the Nile; gardens with Mahatma Gandhi Monument, taking a boat cruise on the Nile, Speke Monument, war cemetery, and Owen Falls dam. Optional; Time allowing in the afternoon, we will be driving along the Nile to see the waterfalls and rapids towards the former Bujagali.   • Day 4 – Jinja to Kumi

    Early breakfast and drive to Kumi to visit Nyero rock paintings. Check-in the hotel and proceed to Nyero rocks. After spending time at the rock painting, explore the surrounding landscape with a local guide to visit the historical and cultural attractions of this area. Optional: This afternoon, we may go for a birding tour on the shores of Lake Kyoga looking for the endemics of this area, before returning to dinner and overnight. Akalabai Village stay FB
  • Day 5 – Kumi-Sipi

    Early morning transfer to Sipi area to participate in the waterfalls walk visiting the villages and caves taking the scenery and afterward abseiling next to the 100m high, Sipi falls. In the afternoon, do coffee experiences in one of the village homes then return to Sipi Falls to do a Sundowner hike before dark. Sipi River Lodge FB
  • Day 6 – Sipi to Moroto

    After an early breakfast, we drive from sipi to Moroto, this afternoon. We will hike Mt Moroto to visit Tepeth tribe communities of Mount Mroto & get exposed to the scenery the area has to offer. Dinner and overnight at Karatunga guesthouse
  • Day 7 – Moroto to Kotido

    After breakfast, we visit the Bokora and Matheniko Communities on the way to Kotido with packed lunch. We will then take a midmorning, drive to Kotido District. In the afternoon, we visit the Wednesday cattle market, the largest Manyata (village) in East Africa, and the Kalokuruk sliding Rock.   • Day 8 – Kotido to Kidepo

    After breakfast, take an excursion to the Ik community and then a short hike towards the summit of Mt. Morungole. On return, drive to Kidepo savanna lodge in the afternoon Kidepo Savannah Lodge FB
  • Day 9 – Kidepo

    After an early breakfast, take a morning Game Drive via Narus valley, Rionomde rock, and Kanangorok hot spring. In the afternoon, take the evening game drive looking for more wildlife including the cats, ostrich, herds of buffalos, and others. Kidepo Savannah Lodge or buffalo base FB
  • Day 10 – Kidepo to Murchison falls

    We will take an early breakfast and start the drive to Murchison Falls as we explore the visible cultural artifacts and ways of life in rural Uganda. Lunch in Gulu town and proceed to Fort Murchison n the Pakwach side, for dinner and overnight.  Fort Murchison FB
  • Day 11 – Murchison

    We will take an early breakfast at 6:30am then head to the morning game drive on the northern bank of the river Nile (including Belugi circuit & queen’s track, hippo point) visit Nyamisika Cliffs. Game in this area includes Giraffe, Elephant, Hartebeest, Lion, Uganda Kob, Oribi, and a variety of savannah and woodland birds. A boat cruise (sundowner) to the falls, disembark & walk to the top of the falls.   • Day 12 – Murchison to Ziwa and Hoima

    Very early drive to Ziwa (with a quick stop at Karuma Falls) to make sure to arrive between 8:00 & 10:00am. We will arrive in Ziwa for a Rhino tracking experience tour, an experience that takes around 2 hours. After the tour, take lunch at Kabalega diner before driving to Hoima where we will have an option of visiting the historical/ royal sites of Bunyoro kingdom; (Mparo tombs & Karuzika palace) on our way to the hotel for dinner and overnight Kontiki hotel FB
  • Day 13 – Hoima to crater lakes area

    After an early breakfast, transfer to the crater lakes areas near Kibale national park via Fort Portal.  Lunch in Fort portal and arrive at a relaxed crater lakes tour then retire to dinner and overnight. Isunga Lodge FB
  • Day 14 – Crater lakes / Kyambura escarpment

    Early morning, participate in the vanilla tour. After the tour, grab packed lunch and transfer to the Kyambura escarpment area, near Queen Elizabeth National Park. We will stop at Rubona basket weaver for a natural dye making experience. After our packed lunch at Rubona, head to Kyambura escarpment stopping at the equator in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and check-in at our lodge located close to Kyambura viewpoint. If time allows, this evening, we will have a short excursion to Katara Women’s Poverty Alleviation Group and return to dinner and overnight Twin Lakes Safari FB
  • Day 15 – Kalinzu forest

    Early morning transfer to Kalinzu forest for Chimp tracking. After chimp tracking, return to lunch and then visit Lake Katwe for a traditional salt mining tour and the salt lake community experiences before retiring to dinner and overnight.   • Day 16 – Queen Elizabeth National park

    Early morning breakfast at 6:30 am then proceed to the game drive on the Kaseny plains, Janet track, Kaguta track, and other tracks basing on the distribution of wildlife on the day. After the game drive, retire to lunch before we do the Kazinga channel boat cruise to see herds of Buffalo, Hippo, and other animals at the edge of the channel as they cool off. Depending on the season European migrant birds like the terns and gulls congregate here in large flocks.   • Day 17 – Ishasha

    Early morning drive to Ishasha sector, in time for a game drive to look for tree-climbing lions. Option for another game drive in the afternoon or visit river Ntungwe with chances of viewing the fishing eagle in action (fishing)and Kameme Village to learn the local life, before dinner and overnight. Enjojo lodge FB
  • Day 18 – Ishasha to Bwindi

    Drive to the Bwindi Rushaga sector it is a relatively long and hilly drive. We will have several stopovers as we take the views and appreciating the local life (nature, social and cultural heritage) of the Bakiga and Bafumbira people living around Bwindi and Mghinga National Parks. Gorilla Valley Lodge
  • Day 19 – Gorilla tracking in Bwindi

    Basing on the availability of gorilla tickets, we shall drive one of the gorilla tracking starting points. These include Buhoma, Rushaga, Ruhija, and others.  After gorilla tracking, we will make a visit to the Shozi ancestral caves used by the ancient Rwandese kings, then transfer to our hotel for dinner and overnight.  Lake Chahafi resort FB
  • Day 20 – Kisoro to Lake Bunyonyi

  • Day 22 – Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo

    After enjoying the sunrise at the lake, drive to Lake Mburo, having lunch at Igongo cultural center. After lunch, check-in at the hotel, embark on the long waited mountain bike game ride before dinner, and overnight. Rwakobo Rock FB
  • Day 23 – Lake Mburo

    After breakfast embark on the morning game drive/ walk including hyena den & then up Kazuma hill to take the beautiful views of Lake Mburo landscape before retiring to lunch.   • Day 24 – Lake Mburo to Entebbe

    After a relaxed breakfast, drive to Entebbe via Mabamba swamp looking for the elusive shoebill. We will stop at the equator, drum factory to take a coffee, pictures, and purchase of gifts Depending on departure time flight, take a plane or stay one more night 2 friends Hotel BB    (END OF TRIP)
