A wildlife trip that takes you to the richest territories of Uganda. You will visit do the wildlife safaris, track the chimps, visit the mountain gorillas and relax on Lake Bunyonyi the entire trip includes meeting the people of Uganda that live with these animals through their life. You will be penetrating the impenetrable forest just like the gorillas do all the time. You will spend up to one hour with the gorillas in the natural habitat as you learn their family behavior. Relaxing on Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest in Africa gives you a moment to meditate in a scenic setting while in Uganda. the people are friendly and will be showing you their way of life. The trip is packed with cultural encounters in the villages, on the road, and in the museums along the way.

  • Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe and transfer to Queen

    Our driver picks you up from Entebbe Airport then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Kampala, Mubende-fort portal road. You will be staying for two nights in the QENP area. Check-in, dinner, and overnight at the Elephant home.
  • Day 2: Queen Elizabeth wildlife safari

    Early morning game drives in the Kasenyi tracks. You will be looking for all sorts of game including the big five. It is a memorable moment on the open savannah landscape, with a good mixture of hills, wetlands the view of the escarpment, and Rwenzori mountains on either side. The common sight will be the Uganda cobs, waterbucks, warthogs, buffalos, elephants the cats, and all others. After the game drive, retire to an early lunch, after which, you will proceed to Kyambura for the afternoon session of chimp tracking. This activity takes 2-3 hours. Return for dinner and overnight at the Elephant's home.
  • Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi

    Have a relaxed late breakfast. After breakfast, at 9:00 am transfer to Katunguru, to participate in the boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. The tour takes two hours on a return trip, ending by midday. After the boat cruise, a possible lunch in Katunguru and then proceeds to Buhoma. You will be driving through the park on Ishasha road with chances of spotting wildlife. Arrive late afternoon for a relaxed dinner and overnight at Buhoma community rest camp
  • Day 4: Gorilla tracking

    Today is the mighty gorilla tracking day. After breakfast take your packed lunch and head to the briefing point. After a briefing by park rangers, embark on 30 minutes – 8 hours trek to find the Mountain gorillas. The tracking starts at the area where the gorillas spent the previous day/night. On sighting gorillas, you will be allowed a full hour with them. You then retire for dinner and overnight. Optional: For the energetic and based on the time left, there is a possibility of a village guided walk to participate in some of the local community experiences. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma community rest camp
  • Day 5: from Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi

    After breakfast, you will be heading to Lake Bunyonyi. You may have lunch in Kabale town then connect to the lake. Enjoy the relaxed boat ride to the island lodge. You can opt for a local dugout canoe. On arrival, relax as you take the view of this hotspot gifted with the culture and some of the best views in the area during a night stay at Byonaamagara camp
  • Day 6: Exploring Lake Bunyonyi area

    Wake up in the morning to participate in a walk of the local area. It is an opportunity of finding birds as the name Bunyonyi (“little birds”) suggests, this is home to a wide range of birds up to 200 bird species. The scenery over the lake and the sunrise are great. Allot to learn here. You will also meet the local people doing their morning hustle in a completely unique life setting. Return for breakfast. After breakfast, optional activities include, visiting the local market, the pigmies culture tour, or doing water activities which include canoe tours, fishing tours or just relaxing by the dock to enjoy a mix of scenery and breeze. After the day, you will spend another night at Byonaamagara camp
  • Day 7: Transfer from Bunyonyi to Kampala

    Early breakfast and transfer to Kampala. For those who want to proceed with their trip to Rwanda, this is the best time to cross at Katuna border. On your way to Kampala, take a break at great lakes museum for a scenic break and a cup of coffee. You will arrive at Mbarara in time for lunch. Take the lunch at Igongo museum restaurant and then proceed to Kampala with a possible stop at the equator to take picture moments, buy gifts, or take a cup of coffee. In the late evening, be dropped off at your accommodation and this will be the end of the trip at Forest cottages.
